I Choose to Do This Life (Uhh...Do I Have To?)
I came across this neat site yesterday http://www.beaumiles.com/ that sells mediation CDs with tones and words and tingshas and Tibetan bells and Tibetan bowls all in a system that is supposed to align your energy bodies. Beau Miles also claims that the music and meditations can help straighten up a scoliotic spine by straightening the energy grid that holds it into place. Well, that would be really awesome if it could do that but he does mention that this is work on an energy level only and that chiropractic manipulations will be needed too. This energetic alignment just helps it to hold.
Anyway he offers a free 5 part course on the site as well as mp3 samples. I did part one of the course which is to get you to declare that you choose to be in this body and choose to be on the earth and choose to "do this life".
Well, I thought I was over this type of thinking, but when doing this exercise, my mind was resisting and said "Oh No, do I have to?".
So, I thought about that.
Here I am at 39 years of age and I am still saying 'Do I have to do this life?' And quite frankly, looking at my life I have avoided participating in a lot of ways. As a child I wasn't real happy witnessing what my fellow human beings were doing and how they were acting and what was motivating them and I never really wanted to be a part of the ugliness. I would space out and escape through meditation, self-hypnosis, constant learning and reading. It always seemed futile to try to change the world and I didn't want to be part of the dominant mindset or groupthink or memes anyway. Beau Miles mentions that a lot of indigos are like this.
This simple little exercise with the accompaning mp3 track is very profound.
Try it and see what happens to you.
